Terms and Conditions

Chapter 1: General Provisions

Article 1: Purpose
These terms and conditions aim to define the conditions and procedures for using the services provided by LUCID Dental Clinic (hereinafter referred to as 'the clinic'), as well as other necessary matters concerning the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of both the clinic and the users.

Article 2: Effectiveness and Amendments of Terms
(1) These terms and conditions shall take effect when they are disclosed to the users.
(2) The clinic may amend the terms and conditions in case of changes in circumstances or for important business reasons. Amended terms will take effect in the same manner as mentioned in the previous section.

Article 3: Rules other than terms and conditions
In cases where matters not specified in these terms and conditions are regulated by applicable laws, such laws will prevail.

Chapter 2: Membership Registration and Service Usage

Article 1: Definition of Member
A member refers to an individual recognized by the clinic as eligible to become a member. The individual must agree to these terms and conditions, complete the membership registration form, and be issued an 'ID' and 'password.'

Article 2: Establishment of Service Sign-Up
(1) Service sign-up is established when the clinic accepts the user's application for service usage and the user agrees to the terms and conditions.
(2) Individuals wishing to join as members and use the services must provide personal information requested by the clinic.
(3) Upon acceptance of the user's membership application, the clinic will notify the user of their membership ID and any other necessary information that the clinic deems important.
(4) The ID entered at registration cannot be changed, and only one ID will be issued per person.
(5) The clinic will not accept membership applications in the following cases:

  • a. If the application is submitted using another person's name
  • b. If the application is not submitted under the applicant's real name
  • c. If the information provided in the application is false
  • d. If the application is made with the intent to disturb public order or morals

Article 3: Service Use and Restrictions
(1) The service will generally be available 24/7, year-round, unless there are specific business or technical issues that prevent it.
(2) The service hours mentioned above may be limited if necessary for system maintenance or other reasons, with prior notice to members.
(3) Some services, such as online consultations, may not be available 24/7, depending on the personal circumstances of the staff responding.

Article 4: Service Fees
(1) All registered members can use the service free of charge.
(2) If the clinic decides to charge for the service in the future, the clinic will announce the pricing, policy, and timing before implementing any charges.

Chapter 3: Service Withdrawal, Re-registration, and Usage Restrictions

Article 1: Service Withdrawal
(1) If a member wishes to withdraw from the service, the member must directly request the cancellation by sending an email to the administrator.
(2) When requesting withdrawal, the member should provide their name, identification number, ID, phone number, and reason for withdrawal. The cancellation will be processed after confirming the consistency with the registration records.
(3) Withdrawal is confirmed if the member is unable to log in using their existing ID and password.

Article 2: Service Re-registration
(1) If a user who has withdrawn from the service under Article 1 wishes to re-register, the user must directly request re-registration by sending an email to the administrator.
(2) When requesting re-registration, the user should provide their name, identification number, ID, and phone number. Re-registration will be processed upon confirmation.
(3) Re-registration is considered successful if the user is able to log in with their existing ID and password.

Article 3: Service Usage Restrictions
The clinic may terminate the service agreement or suspend the service usage for a specified period without prior notice if a member engages in any of the following actions:

  • a. Engaging in activities that violate public order or morals
  • b. Involvement in criminal activities
  • c. Planning or executing the use of the service to undermine national interests or public welfare
  • d. Stealing or using another person's ID and password
  • e. Defaming or causing harm to another person's reputation or well-being
  • f. Registering multiple accounts under different IDs by the same user
  • g. Engaging in activities that harm the service or disrupt its healthy use
  • h. Violating applicable laws or the terms of use established by the clinic

Chapter 4: Limitation of Liability Regarding Services

Article 1: Online Consultation
(1) The clinic makes every effort to ensure the confidentiality of consultations between members or users and the service providers, including the consulting doctor and service administrators. However, the clinic is not responsible for the disclosure or loss of consultation details in the following situations:

  • a. When the user's password is leaked due to negligence, resulting in the disclosure of consultation details
  • b. When the user uses the 'delete' function to remove the consultation
  • c. When consultation details are disclosed or lost due to natural disasters or other circumstances beyond the clinic's control

(2) To provide comprehensive and appropriate responses to the consultation requested by the member, the responsible staff may refer to the consultation details and responses.
(3) The content of consultations conducted through the service may be used for the following purposes after removing personal information:

  • a. Academic activities
  • b. Publishing materials, such as printed documents or CD-ROMs
  • c. Parts of the service content, such as FAQs or recommended consultations

(4) Responses to consultations are based on the subjective knowledge of the responsible staff and do not represent the official opinions of the clinic’s service.
(5) The online consultation service may not be provided, either in whole or in part, in the following cases:

  • a. When the same consultation request is repeatedly submitted
  • b. When the consultation request contains expressions that are unreasonable or contrary to common sense

Article 2: Information Services
(1) The content provided through the service is general and informational in nature, intended solely for informational purposes. The information or consultations provided through the service cannot and should not be considered as medical diagnoses. The information or consultations provided are not intended to replace medical diagnoses, treatment, or care. If you have concerns or questions about your health, you should seek a professional consultation with a licensed physician.

(2) The clinic does not endorse or recommend any specific tests, products, or treatments mentioned in the service. The opinions expressed in the service are solely those of the consulting physician. The clinic is not responsible for any documents or consultation content provided through the service.
(3) Accepting the information, opinions from participating specialists, or feedback from other members or visitors of the service is entirely at the user's discretion. Therefore, the clinic is not liable for any damages, injuries, or other disadvantages resulting from the use of any products, information, ideas, or instructions provided through the service.

Chapter 5: Obligations

Article 1: Obligations of the Clinic
(1) The clinic will ensure that, unless there are special circumstances, members can use the service.
(2) The clinic has the obligation to continuously and stably provide the service in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in this agreement.
(3) The clinic will process any feedback or inquiries submitted by members in accordance with the prescribed procedures. If processing takes time, the clinic must inform the member of the reason and the processing schedule.

Article 2: Obligations Regarding Member Information Security
(1) The member is responsible for all management related to their ID and password.
(2) The member agrees to receive emails related to the service sent as part of the service.
(3) If a member's ID is used fraudulently, the member must notify the clinic immediately.

(4) The clinic will not sell or provide any personally identifiable information to third parties without the member's prior consent. However, the clinic may use voluntarily provided registered information in the following cases:

  • a. To provide useful information to developers for the development of new features, information, and services for members
  • b. To provide statistical (non-personally identifiable) information about the service's members and user groups to advertisers
  • c. To provide advertisements or services based on member and user preferences within the clinic

Chapter 6: Dispute Resolution

(1) Any disputes arising from the use of the service, except for those specified in these terms and conditions, should be resolved through mutual agreement between both parties to the greatest extent possible.
(2) In the event that a lawsuit is filed regarding a dispute arising from the use of the service, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the clinic shall be the competent court.

Supplementary Rules

These terms and conditions will take effect on April 1, 2023.
